HRAM Speaker Request for Proposal

Speaker proposals are reviewed and selected by a committee of volunteer HR professionals and the HRAM Executive Board according to the evaluation criteria below.

HRAM accepts submissions from speakers for all our programs anytime during the year. The submissions will be reviewed August through December for the following calendar year events.  HRAM occasionally selects speakers during the year for last minute changes or events added.

Review Criteria

  • Provide an engaging session title to help market the event and increase registration.

  • Select a current topic and demonstrate knowledge of timely hot topics, trends and/or laws in the human resource field.

  • Clearly identify key takeaways/learning objectives (minimum of 3 bullets)

  • Practical and applicable ideas and material without the promotion or advertising of your company’s products/services – no sales pitch.

  • Ability to deliver an innovative, impactful, and engaging presentation to fill at least:

  • Submit testimonials or videos at prior speaking engagements (if applicable).

Presentation Guidelines

  • Handouts are strongly encouraged – our members prefer to write notes and takeaways on handouts during the session to help follow along with the presentation. We are respectful if the speaker prefers not to share the presentation.

  • Power Point is the required format in 4:3 (standard) and due to the HRAM office 3 days prior to the event.

  • Multi-media sources such as video, polls, music, visual aids are encouraged.

Obtaining HR recertification credit

HRAM will submit the speaker presentation for SHRM and HRCI recertification credit.  If your session has been submitted for credit in the past, please send us the SHRM CLASS or HRCI ORG codes.

In order for HRAM to submit the session to obtain the recertification credit, it needs to be an educational session of interest and applicable for HR professionals. Please use Review Criteria as submission guidelines, along with the SHRM BoCK and HRCI BoK. Session criteria and speaker bio are due no later than 6 weeks prior to event date to submit for credit and market the event.
