SHRM PINNACLE AWARD

The SHRM Pinnacle Award Program is an annual recognition program honoring the highest achievements in affiliate development and contributions that serve HR professionals, advance the HR profession and enhance the SHRM community.  SHRM chapters and state councils are encouraged to apply for a Pinnacle Award for innovative projects created and implemented by your SHRM affiliate.  Winners will each receive a $1,000 grant presented at a chapter/state council meeting with special recognition in SHRM publications and during the Leadership Conference.  A compendium of Pinnacle Award nominations can be found online.

Addressing Domestic/Sexual Violence in the Heartland

Creating Domestic/Sexual Violence and the Workplace Toolkit was a collaboration of HRAM and the Women's Fund of Omaha. Its goal was to provide education to help create diverse and safe work environments for all employees. This toolkit provides employers across the Omaha metro area with resources on what domestic and sexual violence looks like in the workplace.

2014 Pinnacle Award for Excellence Winner

Excel with a Mentor Program

The Excel with a Mentor Program gives veterans a preview of civilian work-life by connecting vets with HR professionals. The HR professionals act as mentors for six months and give networking and job-search advice. The program was developed in conjunction with the local military base, Mutual of Omaha and HR professionals from companies such as Nebraska Furniture Mart, C&A Industries and Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska.

SHRM EXCEL AWARD

The Excel Awards recognize achievements by SHRM chapters and state councils in three categories:  Serving HR Professionals, Advancing the HR Profession and Enhancing the SHRM Community.         

 

SHRM LEARNING SYSTEM CHAMPIONS

The SHRM Learning System Champion Recognition is thanking SHRM chapters for promoting and supporting SHRM’s Certification to their members.   

SHRM FOUNDATION

In 2019, the SHRM Foundation awarded more than $500,000 in certification, academic and professional development scholarships and grants to HR professional and students.  With support from SHRM chapters, state councils, and volunteer leaders, the SHRM Foundation is able to fulfill our mission to champion workforce and workplace transformation.

To honor chapters, councils, and volunteer leaders who go above-and-beyond, the SHRM Foundation has created the following recognition awards. As a charity, our work is only possible through the generosity of passionate individuals, organizations and SHRM chapters and state councils.
