KEYNOTE:  " The State of Nebraska Workforce:  Blueprint Nebraska"

Nebraska’s prosperity is built on its people, land and location. Yet challenges, especially people-related challenges, threaten our ability to sustain this success. How can we sustain—and grow—Nebraska’s success? Blueprint Nebraska: a strategic plan to continue “growing the good life” for all Nebraskans in the years to come.

Workforce and workplace culture are often the key differentiators in successful businesses.   The COVID-19 pandemic created a new set of workforce and workplace challenges.   Bryan Slone, the NE Chamber President, will address his observations regarding the Nebraska business climate, as well as workforce and workplace strategies that Nebraska businesses are considering.   He will also address those portions of the Blueprint-Nebraska report that address workforce and workplace matters and provide an update.

Nebraska is known for its good life and great opportunities. With the rise of telecommuting and a new desire for lower populations and wide-open spaces, we’re experiencing a shift in what people look for in a place to live. Our state is poised to capitalize by setting the stage for growth. Allison Hatch, Talent Development Team Leader at the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, is passionate about helping to create places where people want to live and stay. She will share her insights on how community and business leaders can adopt winning strategies for attracting, retaining and developing talent in Nebraska.
