"Navigating Without a Map: What Self-Funded Employers Should Know About Provider Networks"

Speaker:  Cara Kirsch, SilverStone Group HUB

In today’s competitive labor market, providing a competitive benefits package is a key component of any total rewards strategy.  As cost to provide benefits continues to increase, organizations are continuously evaluating their strategy to look for new and creative ways to balance the cost and effectiveness of their benefits strategy.  Cara will also provide information on how to work with your CFO/Controller to understand how changing your network strategy can reduce the cost of your benefits.  During this presentation, participants will:

  • Understand how having a strategy around choice of networks can enhance your benefits offering

  • Gain a deeper understanding of the provider network environment

  • Learn about cutting-edge strategies that create open network access and transparency

  • See examples of how these changes can be implemented

  • Examine top provisions designed to expand retirement savings options

  • Preview what's ahead and what plan sponsors need to prepare for as additional guidance becomes available

"Modernization of Benefits Administration"

Speaker:  Walter Fagan, HUB

Today’s workforce expects to conduct the majority of HR and benefits transactions online.  How user friendly and organization’s systems are can impact employee engagement.  For HR professionals a good HR/Benefits system can make your team more efficient and effective and can assist with state and Federal compliance.  In order to select the right vendor and platform, organizations need to evaluate how these systems fit with their budget and strategic plan. In this session, participants will:

  • Define modern age benefits administration

  • Learn why it's important to employees and how it helps employers
