The College Relations Committee works to promote the relationship between students studying to become HR professionals, their faculty, and local HR professionals by facilitating networking opportunities. Our meetings and events feature guest speakers, mentors, and job search advisors that help student members learn more about the human resources industry and/or employment opportunities in the HR field.
This committee meets as needed.
Dr. Patti Meglich, University of Nebraska at Omaha Student Chapter Advisor
The HRAM College Relations Co-Chairs are developing a mentor program with HR professionals and students from the UNO Human Resources Association group. The purpose of this program is to develop one-on-one relationships between students and professionals. Mentors have the opportunity to encourage and advise students by sharing their own professional experience and knowledge of the HR profession. Students will get the opportunity to learn more about different areas within HR, network with professionals, and get insight to a future career within HR.
We ask that you are committed to meeting with your mentor/mentee at least once per month. The program will run through the end of the semester in May 2017, though we encourage you to continue this relationship!
If you are interested in this program, please submit the online form by Friday, February 17th. We will pair mentors and mentees, and provide you with their information by Friday, February 24th.
