WorldatWork Scholarship

WorldatWork Scholarship Program:

As a recognized educator that values certification and provides professional development, WorldatWork knows that training and education is critical to success. WorldatWork is offering scholarships for HR professionals to become Certified Compensation Professionals,Certified Benefits Professionals, Global Remuneration Professionals or Work-Life Certified Professionals.

Recipients of the one-year scholarship will be awarded:

(1)   WorldatWork Premier membership

(2)   Certification preparation courses for the scholarship awarded through the self-paced e-learning platform

(3)   Computer-based exams (see terms and conditions for details).

Data from the WorldatWork Career Center show that 83 percent of employers seek candidates with a certification!

Eligibility Criteria

The scholarship is open to all HR practitioners anywhere in the world who are in need of assistance toward professional development and certification.

Scholarships are open to both WorldatWork members and non-members who have been employed in an HR role for at least two years. Current WorldatWork staff, faculty and Board members are not eligible, nor are their immediate family members/domestic partners.

Application, Review and Certification Process

Scholarship candidates must submit a complete application to be considered. Candidates will submit their application through the WorldatWork Career Center. This is a scholarship opportunity and not a job opportunity. Using the technology in the online Career Center, applicants can easily upload required scholarship application materials:

• 200-word essay
• Resume or CV
• Complete work and salary history
• Letter of recommendation

The 200-word essay should describe the importance of certification to your HR career development. This essay should include an explanation of why the scholarship is needed. Applicants must also provide a letter from their current supervisor, or, if unemployed, their last supervisor or HR colleague, recommending the individual and supporting the need for scholarship consideration. WorldatWork will award scholarships based on need and merit.

Finalists will be interviewed via phone. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their acceptance after a formal review. Once accepted, a WorldatWork staff member will assist each recipient in their path toward certification. Scholarship recipients have one year to complete as many self-paced e-learning preparation courses and exams associated with the awarded scholarship as they can.
