The mission of the Membership committee is to be responsible for all phases of membership development including recruiting and sustaining the membership of the HRAM organization as well as awareness of the committees and volunteer opportunities to assist with personal and professional growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- New Member Orientation-This is an excellent opportunity to learn the committees and how you can be a part of the HRAM organization!
- Annual Membership Renewal (September 15th through November 30th)
- Annual Membership Directory (including content, design, sale of advertisements and printing)
- Promote HRAM membership
- Promote SHRM membership
- Membership Guidelines
Committee Goals:
- Partner with HRAM's vision of attracting new members by attending Chamber of Commerce and networking events.
- Continue to promote the "One Shot Volunteers" to HRAM Committee Chairs. Ensure "One Shot Volunteers" are contacted at least once or twice a year for involvement.
- Continue to create a comfortable, non-threatening environment by greeting members at the door along with creating a positive environment at the registration table.
- Promote chair involvement at New Member Orientations to encourage members to become more active in volunteer activities.
- Promote fun networking ideas for monthly meetings.
- Research the needs high level human resource professionals to increse participation of the senior level group within the organization.
- Contact past members who haven't renewed their membership.
- Facilitate the "HRAM Partner Program" to ensure every new member who attends orientation receives an invitation to join a seasoned HRAM member.
- Promote advertising on the new website as a bundle service combined with the 2010 and 2011 directory.
- Send out a quarterly mailing to recruit the SHRM members at large to join HRAM.
