The mission of the K-12 Workforce Readiness Committee is to establish HRAM as a responsible “community partner” with the various school systems in the Omaha Metro area thus enhancing each members ability to recruit “tomorrow’s employee”.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop Community Partnerships
- Provide links for Businesses with School-to-Work Programs
- Conduct a Job Shadow for Teachers into Business
- Pilot “Career Day”
2007 Committee Goals:
- Revitalize Job Shadow- increase % of participating schools and businesses from prior year.
- Partner with other community involvement committees to discuss joint project opportunities.
- Community Outreach- support a minimum of one community outreach effort as an organization, relevant to workforce readiness efforts.
- Have 25% of our profitable budget go to a scholarship fund.
