Offutt/HRAM Career Fairs

The Career Fairs are a partnership between the Offutt Airman & Family Readiness Center (A&FRC) and  the Human Resource Association of the Midlands (HRAM).  They are open to all Active Duty, DoD Civilians, Veterans, Retirees, Guard, Reserve, Family Members and the Public.

Who Attends the Career Fair

For each fair we have between 200-300 jobseekers attend, which by the Offutt measure is a great turnout. While the event is open for veterans, family members, and the public, our main focus is the transitioning service members. Offutt has roughly 300 transitioning service members at any given time. Of those 300, only some are actively seeking employment and are interested in attending, or able to attend the career fair. Our goal is not the quantity of jobseekers attending, but rather the quality of jobseekers and to help connect the transitioning service members to employers in the civilian sector.

Our FOCUS of the Career Fair

In addition to looking for career opportunities, we encourage the transitioning service members to attend the career fair and use it as a learning opportunity to research and explore new careers, start learning about the civilian workforce culture, and have one on one conversations with HR representatives to answer some of their questions and identify other potential career paths.

This focus also gives the employers the opportunity to be actively involved in helping the transitioning service members transition out of the military and integrate into the civilian sector.

VENDOR PARTICIPATION

ONE BOOTH PER COMPANY $50
(increases to $65 after specified date on event page)

Set-up from 8:30-9:30 a.m.  Booth placement will be assigend by the HRAM office based on company industry. Booths with electricity are limited and will be assigned in order of registration online.  A light breakfast will be served to vendors.

Participation fees Includes:

  • (1) 8 foot table with 2 chairs
  • Complimentary table cloth available upon request
  • Continental breakfast served during set-up
  • Beverages:  Coffee, soda and bottled water
  • Wifi is available. (Access may be slow or intermittent based on numbers of users.)

Parking:  In respect of our job seekers attending the career fair, we ask vendors with more than one person attending to carpool to maximize the parking lot to accommodate all parties involved in the career fair.  Thank your for your understanding.
